Don’t let the cost of Alzheimer’s treatment add to your caregiving burden. We help
eligible patients access Namzaric (memantine ER/donepezil) for as little as $69.95 per
month through Patient Assistance Programs.
The Namzaric Prescription Assistance Program is a manufacturer-sponsored initiative that provides Namzaric at no medication cost to qualifying patients. The program is available to uninsured and underinsured U.S. residents who meet income and residency requirements. If approved, you receive your medication at no cost and can reapply for continued access.
Alzheimer’s disease is devastating — not only for the person living with it, but for the entire family providing care. When your loved one’s doctor prescribes Namzaric to help maintain cognitive function and daily capabilities, the last thing you should worry about is whether you can afford it. Yet at hundreds of dollars per month for a brand-only medication, many families face that exact dilemma.
AffordMyPrescriptions ensures that cost never becomes a barrier to your loved one’s Alzheimer’s treatment. For a flat $69.95 per month, our Patient Advocates manage every step of enrollment, from initial application through ongoing refills and annual re-enrollment. Medicare Part D patients are accepted.

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most demanding responsibilities anyone can face — and when the financial burden of medications compounds the emotional and physical toll of caregiving, it can feel overwhelming. Navigating manufacturer assistance programs, gathering documentation, and managing refill schedules is yet another task on top of the countless daily caregiving duties you already manage. From the moment you enroll, your advocate takes full ownership of your case. They prepare the
application, coordinate with your loved one’s neurologist or prescriber to gather required documentation, and track approval through each stage. When the medication is due for refill, they manage that proactively so your loved one never runs out. When annual re-enrollment approaches, they handle it well before coverage expires. Our pricing is simple and predictable: $69.95 per month — every month, without exception. While the medication itself is provided at no cost through the assistance program, our monthly fee covers
professional advocacy, application management, doctor coordination, and refill oversight. If we’re unable to secure access, you won’t be charged. And if generic donepezil and generic memantine taken separately at $9–$11 per month would work equally well, we’ll tell you that upfront.

Many patients try discount cards first. Here’s why the Patient Assistance Program through AffordMyPrescriptions is the better long-term solution:
Eligibility is generally determined by annual household income levels. Most programs follow guidelines that include a limit of up to $40,000 for individuals, $60,000 for couples, and $100,000 for larger families. Because these requirements can vary, we encourage you to contact AffordMyPrescriptions directly so we can review your specific situation and determine if you qualify for assistance.
Namzaric (memantine extended-release/donepezil) is a once-daily prescription combination capsule used to treat moderate to severe dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease in patients who are already stabilized on donepezil 10 mg daily. It combines two FDA-approved Alzheimer’s medications into a single extended-release capsule taken once daily in the evening.
How it works:
Alzheimer’s disease damages and destroys nerve cells in the brain. Namzaric addresses two key brain chemicals simultaneously. Donepezil is a cholinesterase inhibitor: it blocks the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, allowing whatever acetylcholine remains to stay active longer and maintain communication between surviving nerve cells. Memantine is an NMDA receptor antagonist: it blocks the NMDA receptors that respond to glutamate, reducing the harmful overstimulation that damages
nerve cells. Together, donepezil boosts the brain’s remaining communication capacity while memantine protects surviving nerve cells from further damage.
Form and use:
Namzaric is available in three strengths (7 mg/10 mg, 14 mg/10 mg, 21 mg/10 mg, and 28 mg/10 mg). Take one capsule once daily in the evening, with or without food. Capsules can be swallowed whole or opened and sprinkled on applesauce for patients who have difficulty swallowing.
Generic availability:
As of April 2026, there is no generic version of the Namzaric combination capsule available in the United States. However, both active ingredients are individually available as affordable generics: generic donepezil for as little as $1 per month, and generic memantine for approximately $8 per month with coupons — a combined cost of approximately $9–$11 per month when taken separately.
Warnings:
Do not stop Namzaric without consulting your prescriber. Namzaric can cause increased stomach acid, slow heartbeat, fainting, and worsening of certain conditions. Avoid NSAIDs while taking Namzaric due to increased risk of stomach ulcers and bleeding.
Brand-name Namzaric costs approximately $621–$725 per month at retail, depending on pharmacy and dose. Discount coupons can reduce the price to approximately $135–$220. Generic donepezil + generic memantine taken separately cost as little as $9–$11 per month combined. Through AffordMyPrescriptions, qualifying patients receive Namzaric at no medication cost — our $69.95 monthly fee covers advocacy and program management.
Yes. The Namzaric provided through the Patient Assistance Program is the identical FDA approved combination medication. The active ingredients, doses, and extended-release formulation are exactly the same as what would be dispensed at any retail pharmacy.
No generic exists for the combination capsule. However, the individual components — generic donepezil and generic memantine — are available separately as inexpensive generics.
